What is Colon Hydrotherapy
Colon hydrotherapy, also known as a colonic, is a procedure that introduces filtered water into the large intestine through a small rectal nozzle to facilitate the evacuation of stool.
At Organic Edge, we use the Angel of Water gravity-fed, open system, designed to provide a private and professionally guided experience.
Unlike facilities that expect clients to manage the process themselves, our trained therapists guide and assist you throughout your appointment.
You are cared for from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
You don't need previous experience or even know the right questions to ask. We'll walk you through it.

The Organic Edge Approach
Where you choose to experience colon hydrotherapy matters.

Organic Edge was founded by Shannon Conklin, a National Board Certified Colon Hydrotherapist and I-ACT Certified Instructor.

We take equipment care and sanitation seriously because your safety and comfort matter.

Your First Visit, Step by Step
Trying something new can bring up questions, especially when it's a treatment as personal as colon hydrotherapy.

Start With a Conversation
Your appointment begins with a discussion about your health history, what brings you in, and any questions or concerns you may have.
We'll also review whether there are health considerations that should be discussed with your healthcare provider before proceeding.

Your therapist will introduce the equipment, explain how the session works, and guide you through each step.
You'll know what to expect before the procedure begins.
Your Comfort Comes First
Your therapist remains available throughout the session to provide guidance and assistance.
We encourage you to communicate openly about your comfort, privacy, or anything else you may be experiencing.
You can request that the session stop at any time.
Leave With Clear Guidance
Before you leave, we'll discuss aftercare, answer any remaining questions, and make sure you understand any relevant follow-up considerations.
Our goal is simple: for you to feel informed, respected, and comfortable throughout your experience.

Research examining the effects of colon hydrotherapy on the gut microbiome is limited.
Although some research has explored changes in intestinal bacteria following the procedure, there is not enough evidence to conclude that colon hydrotherapy has no meaningful effect on the microbiome. If you have concerns about your digestive health or microbiome, we encourage you to discuss them with your healthcare provider.No. Your medical history is an important consideration.
Colon hydrotherapy carries risks, including dehydration, electrolyte disturbances, infection, and bowel injury. Certain medical conditions may make the procedure inappropriate.
